Learning objectives - Apply the IPC/WHMA-A-620 Space & Military-Avionics addendum requirements - Evaluate harness criteria for high-reliability space and avionics hardware - Apply controls and inspection beyond standard Class 3 - Assess crimps, solder, splices, and shielding for space applications - Understand documentation and traceability for space hardware - Prepare for the 620 Space Addendum certification exam Prerequisites The Space Addendum builds on the base standard — a current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is required. - Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (CIS or CIT) - Ability to read and understand technical documents in English - Visual acuity to distinguish fine detail and color (corrective lenses or magnification permitted) Additional requirements for space and military applications. ## Options & pricing Choose your level and path at registration. All options run during the same class week; recertification (challenge test) is exam-only and scheduled midweek. Certification options and pricing Level Full certification Recertification CISCertified IPC Specialist $3,085 $1,545 CITCertified IPC Trainer $4,015 $2,010 Full certification includes the standard/textbook, workmanship kits, and exam. Recertification is exam-only (no textbook/kits), Tue–Fri. CIS Operators & technicians — working proficiency in the standard. CIT Certified to train others to the CIS level.
